The NCE Power Cab system gives the impression that it provides walk around functionality right out of the box. That is not the case and should not be a consideration which choosing your starter system.
This post developed out of a client question on the NCE Power Cab unit. At first glance this system seems perfect, especially since it appears to include a walk-around controller in an entry level package.
Then we read the fine print. The graphic below shows that the Power Cab can only be plugged into the left-hand slot on the provided throttle panel. True walk around control requires another cab and more throttle panels, which is very similar to Digitrax (one of NCE’s rival) entry level system, the Zephyr.
